Review: Sena 20S Bluetooth Motorcycle Headset with Dual Pack
It is the seemingly carefree lifestyle of adventure seeking motorcyclists that make this mode of transport so popular. True motorbike riders will say there is very little to compare with the sense of freedom you get with riding, and on top of that, it saves you on commuting time as compared to a four wheeler. On a motorbike you are totally immersed, part of the environment itself rather than viewing it remotely from behind the barrier that is the glass windshield of an automobile-shaped steel cage
For those who are not altogether clued up on technology, they will say that riding a motorcycle has some drawbacks – with the roar of a bike, you can not listen to music and stay in touch with the other riders. A long ride-out with your biker buddies used to mean many long stretches with only your thoughts plus the engine, wind and tyre noise for company. The advent of the smartphone and with it our need for connectivity to the digital world also created a potential for dangerous distractions particularly with previous poor quality ‘solutions’ involving awful ergonomics, poor audio quality or complicated installation procedures. The best solution is specifically adapted motorcycle bluetooth headsets, and more so a good brand like the Sena 20S.

Installing the Sena 20S Bluetooth Headset
To install the 20S nicely and securely on the helmet, you will be required to loosen the two screws on the back plate of the clamp unit. There is an enclosed Allen wrench. The next step is to insert the back plate of the clamp unit between the external shell of the helmet and the inner padding. You must then tighten the two screws. To make sure everything is installed correctly, make sure that the microphone is well positioned and placed close to your mouth once you have your helmet on.
How do I set it up?
When your brand new 20S arrives, jump on your PC and download the latest version of the device manager. Even if your model is brand new you still need to update it with the latest software.
Some of the things we noticed if you don’t download the software is the voice status announcement has a super low volume, but then it can become too loud when FM radio is on. Sena sent us an email stating that the new firmware version that was released recently fixed that issue.
So if you want to get the best out of your device, download the device manager asap.
Read the manual
After you’ve downloaded and installed the latest firmware updates, you will want to spend about 20 minutes reading the manual to learn about all of the new Sena 20S features and how they are implemented. So many times we receive emails about how users can’t get certain features to work and all the answers are in the manual.
We spent about 2 hours studying the manual allowing us to implement every feature that was available. However, if you can’t be bothered reading then Sena has posted some tutorials on Youtube explaining how to use different features.
Our Final Verdict
The Sena S20 motorcycle intercom system is a seriously quality product that’s essential for any bike trip. Now you don’t have to allow the noise of the wind or from the bike to interfere with you communicating with your friends. The Sena 20 S has a number of positive reviews from Amazon with some reviews stating “it’s the best bluetooth headset on the market”.
Another endorsement is the number of motorcycle vloggers on YouTube and other social media who use the Sena 20S to give their videos the professional quality audio viewers expect these days – it is ideal for recording and showing your motorcycling ride-outs, adventure travels and track days without the annoyingly poor sound quality and distracting background noise of lower quality headsets.
It makes sense getting such a quality product from Sena as the owners are all motorcycle riders as well as being technology enthusiasts. They started out in 1998 and have been inspiring customers ever since to enhance their adventurous journeys further with this useful technology. They also offer a dual pack which works out cheaper if you’re looking to buy for more than one. Overall, the Sena 20S is a great choice for any motorcycle rider. We hope we have covered everything in this Sena 20S review for you to make the right choice. We were able to track down and find Sena 20S best sale price below.
